Rentrée sportive 2026 : Les FACI scellent l’unité et la performance opérationnelle
On Friday, January 30, 2026, the General Staff Headquarters of the Armed Forces, located in Plateau, hosted the official launch of the Ivorian Armed Forces (FACI) sports season. Under the guiding principles of "Discipline – Cohesion – Performance," this event brought together military and paramilitary forces around a common goal: strengthening unity for greater effectiveness in the field.
The day began with a 3km run through the Plateau's main thoroughfares, followed by a fitness session and martial arts demonstrations. The 2026 calendar looks packed, with swimming competitions starting in February, triathlons in April, and strength events in June. The season will culminate in December with team sports and cross-country running.
Six major trophies, including the President of the Republic's trophy, will be awarded to recognize excellence and fair play. More than just a competition, this sporting season is a tool for operational preparation in the face of the nation's security challenges.
