Baccalauréat 2026 : Le gouvernement mise sur la rigueur et le mérite
The written Baccalaureate exams kicked off this Monday, June 15, 2026, in Côte d'Ivoire. On this occasion, the Minister of National Education, Literacy, and Technical Training, Dr. N'Guessan Koffi, urged candidates to avoid cheating and rely solely on their own abilities.
The official launch took place at the Hamed Bakayoko high school in Abobo. To mark the importance of the event, Dr. N'Guessan Koffi was surrounded by a large ministerial delegation, including Adama Diawara (Higher Education), Françoise Remarck (Culture and Francophonie) and Jean-Louis Moulot (Minister Delegate in charge of Technical Education).
Together, they then visited several examination centers in Cocody, Plateau (including candidates with disabilities) and the Lycée classique d'Abidjan.
This year, a total of 329,372 candidates are taking the exams from June 15 to 19, spread across 549 centers throughout the country.

Held under the theme "A Determined Educational Community for Credible Examinations," this session places particular emphasis on transparency and fairness. Minister N'Guessan Koffi assured that state-of-the-art control systems and enhanced monitoring have been deployed to thwart any attempt at fraud and guarantee the credibility of the diploma.
For her part, Françoise Remarck praised the excellence of the artistic Baccalaureate, recalling the brilliant success rate of 89% the previous year, with the hope of doing even better this year.
The Minister of Higher Education, Adama Diawara, sought to reassure students about their post-baccalaureate options. In accordance with the President's commitments, the government guarantees that a guidance solution will be offered to every future baccalaureate holder.
To support this promise, the Ivorian government allocates between 40 and 45 billion CFA francs annually to cover the tuition fees of students enrolled in award-winning private institutions. "Everything is being done to ensure that our future students pursue their academic studies under optimal conditions," the minister concluded.
