Législatives 2025 : Valérie Yapo brise les rangs et se lance en indépendante à Akoupé

A few weeks before the legislative elections of December 2025, Valérie Yapo , former regional leader of the PDCI-RDA , announced her independent candidacy in the constituency of Akoupé, Békofin and the sub-prefecture of Akoupé .

Speaking to the press, the candidate explained the reasons for her decision: "I am running to defend the people and lead a fight for social justice ." For her, her commitment goes beyond political affiliations: "I am not a candidate of the PDCI-RDA, but a candidate of the people ," she insisted.

Valérie Yapo has stated that she wants to base her campaign on freedom , transparency, and local development . She promises to fight to improve the living conditions of the people of Akoupé and to promote local governance focused on the needs of citizens.

Aware of the challenge of running as an independent against the major parties, she nevertheless expressed confidence in her chances of success , mentioning an "80% probability" of winning.

His entry into the race is redrawing the political map of the Akoupé region , traditionally shared between the PDCI-RDA and the RHDP .

For many observers, this candidacy reflects the desire for autonomy of certain local political actors and a renewal of the discourse around social justice and citizen representation.

The voters of Akoupé will therefore have to choose between the candidates of the major parties and this independent voice which aims to carry a message of proximity and justice.
