Présidentielle 2025 : le président Ouattara engage la Côte d’Ivoire vers un scrutin pacifique
This Friday, October 24, 2025, President Ouattara received in Abidjan a high-level delegation led by Goodluck Jonathan, former President of Nigeria and head of the West African Forum of Elders, as well as Yemi Osinbajo, former Vice President of Nigeria and head of the Joint Observation Mission of the African Union and ECOWAS.
At the end of their meeting, President Ouattara reaffirmed the government's firm commitment to ensuring the smooth running of the presidential election on October 25, in a climate of peace, stability and transparency.
The two heads of mission praised the quality of the ongoing electoral process and called on Ivorians, particularly young people, to vote en masse and reject all forms of violence. For them, the country's stability is an essential factor for its development.
This meeting takes place at a time when the international community is closely following the progress of this presidential election, which is essential for the consolidation of Ivorian democracy. President Ouattara and the observers agreed that the transparency and serenity of the election will be at the heart of all actions carried out until October 25.
