Présidentielle ivoirienne/Billon : "construire un capitalisme national solide"

Despite significant economic growth, deep inequalities persist between the regions of Côte d'Ivoire, which is going through a pivotal period in its history, Jean-Louis Billon, candidate for the presidential election of October 25, whose ambition is to build a solid national capitalism, estimated in a message on social networks on Monday, October 13, 2025.

"My ambition is to build a solid national capitalism, putting Ivorians at the center of value creation and guaranteeing them priority benefit from national wealth," declared candidate Jean-Louis Billon.

As such, it is committed to actively supporting SMEs, drivers of employment and innovation, and to ensuring a fair distribution of the fruits of growth to combat the high cost of living and improve the daily lives of all.

According to Mr. Billon, the territorial imbalance threatens national unity and hinders the country's development. As a presidential candidate, he refuses to allow Côte d'Ivoire to move forward at two speeds.

"My commitment is to combat these injustices that hinder social cohesion and to build shared prosperity, based on equity and solidarity. Every Ivorian, wherever they are, must be able to access the same opportunities and hope for a better future," he emphasizes.

To achieve this, believes Jean-Louis Billon, it is essential to restore social cohesion because no nation can prosper sustainably in division.

"This is why, if I am elected President of the Republic, my first action will be to initiate a strong process of national reconciliation, marked by the return of exiles and the release of political prisoners. National unity must be the foundation of our development," he promises.

In this perspective, candidate Billon intends to extend "his hand to all Ivorians, without distinction, so that together we can write a new page in our history."

Once cohesion is restored, "we will be able to unleash the full potential of our country to build true economic sovereignty," maintains Jean-Louis Billon.

"Our common future demands that prosperity not be reserved for one region or city. Opportunities must no longer be concentrated solely in Abidjan: it is crucial to establish fair and balanced territorial development. Each community must have the resources and autonomy necessary to meet the needs of its inhabitants, throughout the country," the candidate said.

His conviction is to make national unity "the sine qua non of progress, social justice and shared prosperity. Together, let us choose unity to build a strong, peaceful Côte d'Ivoire, resolutely turned towards the future," he insists.
