Yamoussoukro : Top départ pour l'Académie de la bonne gouvernance en 2026

The Academy of Good Governance and Anti-Corruption Leadership officially launched its 2026 calendar this Monday, April 20th, in Yamoussoukro. This formal opening ceremony coincided with the start of an intensive seminar on anti-corruption compliance .

A hub of excellence for integrity

Founded in April 2025, the institution has a clear ambition: to become the leading center for ethics and integrity in Africa. Its goal is to bring about a systemic change in attitudes towards corruption.

The year's program looks packed:

  1. June 16-19: Second thematic training session.
  2. October 20-24: Special session for diplomats, organised in collaboration with the International Anti-Corruption Academy .

Innovations: Integrity Pass and mandatory training

The president of the High Authority for Good Governance (HABG), Epiphane Zorro-Bi Ballo , unveiled concrete measures resulting from a partnership with the Ministry of Public Service:

  1. Systematic integration of anti-corruption modules into the curriculum of future civil servants.
  2. Creation of an "integrity pass" , a prerequisite now essential for any agent applying for high-level positions.

A strategic imperative for the State

Minister Mariatou Koné , who presided over the ceremony, emphasized that transparency is not only a matter of morality, but also an economic driver. According to her, the fight against corruption is essential for:

  1. To ensure fair competition between companies.
  2. Securing public funds.
  3. Meet international compliance standards.

She also highlighted ongoing reforms in the public sector, such as the widespread use of audit committees and the requirement for state-owned enterprises to produce governance reports .

"The goal is to equip public and private stakeholders with concrete tools to prevent risks rather than simply observing them." — Mariatou Koné

In officially opening this session, the minister urged participants to become ambassadors of ethics within their respective administrations.
