During the Tabaski celebrations this Wednesday in Abidjan, the chief Imam of the Grand Mosque of Riviera Golf, El Hadj Moumine Traoré, made a passionate appeal to the Muslim community. In his Eid al-Adha sermon, the religious leader firmly emphasized to the faithful the crucial importance of family responsibility .

The education of young people, a pillar of a healthy society

For El Hadj Moumine Traoré, the future of the community rests entirely on the guidance of new generations. He emphasized that education and training for young people remain the only guarantees for building strong families.

"Everyone will be questioned about their responsibility towards the family," he emphasized.

In front of an assembly of many faithful — including the President of the Republic, Alassane Ouattara , who came to pray despite the torrential rain that was falling on the economic capital — the Imam led the two Rakats prayer before proceeding with the traditional ritual of the immolation of the ram.

Family success and social prosperity

Addressing the Islamic vision of the family unit born from the union of a couple, the spiritual guide established a direct link between the private sphere and public life:
