Drame sur l'axe Dabou – Grand-Lahou : Un mort et 30 blessés dans une collision de cars
A serious traffic accident shook the Grands-Ponts region on Thursday, January 22, 2026. A head-on collision between two public transport buses resulted in 31 victims, including one death , at the crossroads of the village of Cosrou.

The National Office of Civil Protection (ONPC) has released a grim preliminary report:
Civilian firefighters from the Grands-Ponts Civil Protection Center (CPC), supported by the Dabou Gendarmerie Brigade, immediately secured the area. All the injured were evacuated to the Dabou General Hospital .
Although the exact circumstances of the tragedy remain to be defined, an official investigation has been opened by the authorities to establish the responsibilities of each party in this tragic accident.
