Tragédie à Doropo : Un cultivateur abat trois membres de son entourage
The Timpira 2 camp, in the sub-prefecture of Niamoué (Doropo department), was the scene of a massacre on Thursday, April 23, 2026. A farmer opened fire on his relatives, leaving behind a heavy toll: three dead and two seriously injured.
Around 5 p.m., the daily lives of the residents were plunged into horror. Armed with a 12-gauge shotgun, a man named Palé Tchibouté brutally attacked five people in his immediate circle. Without warning, he opened fire on his own brother, his sisters-in-law, his wife, and his nephew.
The extremely violent attack was fatal for three people who died instantly:
The two other victims— the suspect's wife and nephew —survived their injuries but are in critical condition. They were rushed to the Bondoukou hospital for intensive care.
To this day, the motive for this triple homicide remains a mystery. What could have driven this man to commit such an irreparable act?
"The exact circumstances and motivations behind this act remain unknown."
Alerted immediately, the national gendarmerie went to the scene to conduct the initial investigation. A neighborhood inquiry was opened and an active search was launched to find Palé Tchibouté, who disappeared after the killings.
