Université de Bouaké : Ultimatum pour le Dr Boga Sako Gervais
The administration of Alassane Ouattara University (UAO) in Bouaké has ordered Dr. Boga Sako Gervais, a lecturer in the Department of Modern Literature, to return to work within 72 hours. Absent since the start of the 2024-2025 academic year, the professor is currently living in exile for security reasons.
In an official statement, the president of the institution, Professor Kouamé Koffi, specifies that in the absence of an immediate return, a procedure for dismissal for abandonment of post will be initiated, in accordance with the texts in force in higher education.
As a reminder, Dr. Boga Sako, also president of FIDHOP, secretly left Côte d'Ivoire in June 2015, denouncing a climate of insecurity linked to his opposition to a fourth presidential term. While the administration is emphasizing administrative rigor, the professor has not yet commented on this three-day delay.
