In the interest of transparency, the Ministry of Health, Public Hygiene and Universal Health Coverage unveiled, on Thursday, May 28, 2026, the key figures of the Departmental Public Hospital Establishment (Ephd) of Duékoué, located in the Guémon region.

The year 2025 was particularly intense there, marked by a high demand on medical teams.

Key figures for the year 2025

The facility recorded an overall occupancy rate of 62% , driven by significant surgical and obstetric activity:

Maternity: 4,116 births in total, including 802 by cesarean section .
Consultations: 27,422 patients treated.
Surgery: 1,381 surgical procedures successfully completed.
Road emergency services: 1,735 victims of public road accidents received.

Modernized infrastructure and doubled capacity

These results demonstrate the growing strength of the infrastructure. Located on an area of 25,000 m² in the heart of the residential district, the hospital has recently undergone a major renovation.

Thanks to these large-scale renovation works, the facility's capacity has more than doubled, increasing from 49 to 100 beds .
