The National Lottery of Côte d'Ivoire (LONACI) is preparing to celebrate its 55th anniversary. On Monday, April 27, 2026, the institution brought together all its staff at its studios in Biétry, Marcory, to unveil an ambitious commemorative program focused on gratitude and unity.

A rich and symbolic program

Under the theme "55 years of commitment, impact and sharing" , the organizing committee, led by Midafehe Richard Touré, announced a large-scale celebration that will last 55 days .

Key dates to remember:

1. Thursday, April 30: Official launch of the festivities in Abidjan.
2. May - June: Deployment of various activities in Abidjan and in agencies in the interior of the country.
3. Saturday, June 6: Culmination of the celebrations with a gala dinner dedicated to the staff at the Sofitel Abidjan Hotel Ivoire.

Tribute to human capital and heritage

The Director General, Dramane Coulibaly , took advantage of this platform to retrace the journey of the state company since its creation in 1970. Praising the "55 years of challenges and successes", he particularly highlighted the involvement of employees, the true pillars of LONACI's performance.

"This celebration is a moment of recognition towards you, but also an opportunity to strengthen our internal cohesion to face the challenges of tomorrow," he stressed.

Powerful moments filled with emotion

The launch ceremony was marked by two powerful symbolic gestures:

1. The institutional tribute: The LONACI Studios were officially named after the Director General, Dramane Coulibaly, during the unveiling of a commemorative plaque.
2. The festive atmosphere: A release of tricolour balloons (orange, white and green) concluded the meeting, marking the beginning of a period of celebration that promises to mark the history of the institution.
