Adjamé : Protection sociale et santé mentale au cœur d’une rencontre pour les femmes des 300 logements
On Saturday, April 25, 2026, the 300-unit housing complex in Adjamé Liberté resonated with the energy of a unique awareness session. Organized by the NGO Ipsdh , this "talk" aimed at a dual objective: to secure the financial future of self-employed women and to preserve their psychological well-being.
The first part of the meeting, led by the president of the NGO, Josiane Koudou , concerned joining the social protection scheme of the National Social Security Fund (CNPS) .
The objective is clear: to lift women out of the informal sector and out of precarious situations by encouraging them to enroll in order to benefit from appropriate social security coverage. True to its community-based approach, the NGO has favored the format of informal discussions.
“We avoided overly theoretical concepts in favor of concrete information, directly applicable to the daily lives of female workers,” explained Ms. Koudou.
The second session, led by Dr. Kadio Madeleine , a psychiatrist at the Abidjan Military Hospital (HMA), focused on the prevention of mental health disorders. The presentation highlighted factors specific to women:
Eugénie Touali , president of the women's association for the 300 housing units, warmly welcomed this initiative. She pointed out that, all too often, psychological difficulties are kept silent, leading to profound distress.
At the close of this enriching day, Eugénie Touali invited the community to meet again on June 6th , at the same site, to celebrate Mother's Day .
