Communiqué Solennel de la Chambre Nationale des Rois et Chefs Traditionnels

Dear Brothers and Sisters, Dear Compatriots of Ivory Coast
As the legislative elections approach, the National Chamber of Kings and Traditional Chiefs issues a fervent appeal to all the sons and daughters of Côte d'Ivoire. We reaffirm the fundamental values that form the bedrock of our nation: peace , social cohesion , respect for human dignity , unity , and an unwavering commitment to the greater good of the country .
The Ivorian heritage is a common treasure that we have the responsibility and duty to protect with lucidity, especially in this period of intense expressions of political passions.
From May 3 to July 5, 2025, our institution conducted a large-scale national awareness and listening mission across all 31 regions and the autonomous districts of Abidjan and Yamoussoukro. The unanimous and strong aspiration that emerged everywhere was a profound desire for peace and peaceful elections .
This desire, shared by the diverse population of Côte d'Ivoire, was largely reflected in the conduct of the electoral process. The elections, on the whole, took place in an atmosphere demonstrating growing democratic maturity .
However, we deplore the regrettable acts of violence and destruction that have occurred in certain areas. The National Chamber of Kings and Traditional Chiefs expresses its deepest condolences to the bereaved families, its solidarity with the injured, and its support to all those whose property has been destroyed.
We wish to pay a heartfelt tribute to the wisdom of the Ivorian people , who have demonstrated their ability to prioritize peace, despite the occasional tensions observed.
We have collectively proven our ability to choose peace, even in the face of adversity. Let us resolutely continue on this path.
When exercising your right to vote, act with calm, dignity and a deep sense of patriotism .
Ivory Coast, our magnificent homeland, deserves the serenity and excellence that we are able to offer it to continue its progress.
Let's protect it, respect it, nurture it!
Long live Ivory Coast!
