The case was officially brought to the attention of the police station of the 1st arrondissement of Daloa on Tuesday, December 2, 2025 .

The investigation, launched immediately, quickly led to the location and arrest of C. Tidjane. During questioning, the suspect admitted to the altercation, explaining that he was trying to force his partner to eat in order to take her medication. He downplayed the incident, acknowledging "a few punches" to free himself from an alleged struggle.
