Korhogo : près de deux tonnes de médicaments prohibés interceptées sur l’axe Lataha–Tawara
Elements of the Korhogo Mobile Gendarmerie Squadron, in collaboration with the Anti-Drug Unit, seized 141 cartons of substandard medicines and prohibited veterinary products on Sunday, June 28, 2026, on the Lataha-Tawara road. This followed an intelligence-led operation that led to the interception, around 1:00 AM, of a convoy of four motorcycles transporting the contraband. Three individuals were apprehended, while a fourth managed to escape, abandoning his motorcycle and cargo. The forces involved also recovered the four motorcycles used in the operation, for a total of 141 cartons representing an estimated total weight of 1.733 tons of prohibited products .
