The curtain falls on the RHDP campaign in Yopougon. Led by Adama Bictogo, the ruling party's list concluded its two weeks of fieldwork with a monumental caravan through the streets of the commune, ending in the excitement of Ficgayo Square.
Far from formal speeches, the President of the National Assembly addressed the crowd in a concert-like atmosphere dedicated to youth. With a strong local presence, the candidate expressed his confidence: "We conducted a grassroots campaign, listening to the residents. Today, that trust is there."
While victory seems a foregone conclusion for him, the real challenge remains the ballot box: translating popular support into actual votes. Bictogo asserts that his final battle is for voter turnout, to solidify his legitimacy with an "undeniable" victory.
