Séguéla : Roxgold Sango lance 25 projets sociaux pour un budget de 1,46 milliard FCFA
Corporate social responsibility is gaining momentum in the Séguéla region. The Local Mining Development Committee (CDLM) , affiliated with the mining company Roxgold Sango , has officially launched the first phase of its community action plan for 2025.
The budget allocated to this initiative amounts to 1.463 billion FCFA . This funding will enable the implementation of 25 projects aimed at improving the infrastructure and daily lives of residents in three villages directly impacted by mining activities:
On Tuesday, April 14, 2026, a crucial step was taken with the public opening of the tenders. Under the authority of the Regional Prefect, Karim Diarrassouba , the process was conducted with a commitment to complete transparency.
“This vote count in the presence of the local population is a guarantee of trust. It is an essential milestone for collaboration between the mining sector and local communities.” — Karim Diarrassouba, Regional Prefect.
This first wave of projects is just the beginning of a larger program. The CDLM has already announced that a second phase of calls for tenders will be launched in May 2026 , reaffirming the mining company's commitment to sustainably transforming the socio-economic landscape of the Séguéla area.
