Sidi Tiémoko Touré lance le SELAB 2026 pour une souveraineté alimentaire accrue
The Minister of Animal and Fisheries Resources, Sidi Tiémoko Touré , officially launched preparations for the 4th edition of the Livestock, Animal and Fisheries Resources Fair ( SELAB ). During a speech this Friday, April 17, 2026, in Abidjan, he urged all stakeholders in the sector to mobilize and make this event the driving force behind the sustainable transformation of the industry.
Scheduled from November 20 to 22, 2026 at the Treichville Sports Palace, SELAB positions itself as a hub for innovation and economic opportunities. The objective is clear: to attract national and international capital to modernize value chains.
"Livestock farming is an essential lever of our sovereignty and our economic development," the minister stressed, recalling that the national ambition is to drastically reduce dependence on imports of animal protein.
This year, the show takes on a global dimension with distinguished guests and structural innovations:
By placing this edition under the banner of competitiveness , the Ivorian government intends not only to secure the food supply for the population, but also to position Côte d'Ivoire as a leading reference in Africa in the field of animal and fishery resources.
Partners and investors are now expected to transform these ambitions into concrete realities on the ground.
