Un Suspect Retrouvé Pendu dans sa Cellule après un Vol à l'INFAS
A tragic event took place at the Treichville gendarmerie brigade on Sunday, November 23, 2025. A man arrested for theft at the National Institute for the Training of Health Agents (INFAS) was found dead, hanged in his custody cell, only a few hours after his arrest.
The case began in the mid-afternoon, when the management of INFAS in Treichville reported a theft on its premises to the gendarmerie brigade.
The body was found hanging from the grate above the door of the holding cell. The object used was a tie made from a piece of jogging pants.
In light of these elements, the initial findings of the forensic police point towards the hypothesis of suicide by hanging . The act is believed to have occurred approximately four hours before the start of the investigation.
The body of BK Roland has been transferred to the morgue at the Port-Bouët General Hospital. An administrative and judicial investigation is currently underway to establish the precise circumstances that led to this tragedy within the gendarmerie brigade.
