Thanks to goals from Kylian Mbappé (22nd, 1-0), decisive despite a missed penalty in the second half (52nd), and from the Englishman Jude Bellingham (43rd, 2-1), the Madrid club took revenge for last season when it suffered four defeats against its historic rival.
This victory, which could have been clearer, allows Real Madrid (1st, 27 points) to consolidate its leadership position. The Merengues now relegate current champions Barça to five points in the standings.
