MMA : Jordan Zebo met KO Baki
MMA fighter Jordan Zebo caused a surprise by knocking out Baissangour “Baki” Chamsoudinov to become the ARES welterweight champion this Saturday, October 18, 2025 in Strasbourg.
Zebo knocked Baki out in spectacular fashion in the fourth round and captured the organization's belt , which Baki had held since May.
The latter, who fought in front of his home crowd at the Zenith in Strasbourg, was probably fighting his last fight with ARES, the French organization in which he emerged.
Given as the favorite, he saw himself finishing in apotheosis to then open the doors to a major league like the UFC or the PFL.
But Zebo, who some of the public discovered two years ago when he was struck down by Cédric Doumbé in just 9 seconds, came to thwart his plans.
Although dominated in the first three rounds, he found the gap to turn the tide against his former training partner. "It's an achievement, I worked so hard for this, it's cool ," he told the organization's microphone.
For Baki, one of France's most popular and previously undefeated fighters, this is the first major setback in his career. It remains to be seen whether this defeat will reshuffle the cards for the future.
"I'm only human, guys! I have a brain, I take hits," the 24-year-old fighter reacted. "(I'm) absolutely not disappointed, it was a great performance from him, he deserves his victory, I'm very happy for him ," he added.
