Mondial 2026 : les États-Unis refusent le visa à trois hauts responsables de la Fédé sénégalaise
Barring any unforeseen circumstances, three high-ranking officials of the Senegalese Football Federation (FSF) have no chance of attending the upcoming World Cup (June 11-July 19) in the United States. They will have to make do with watching it on television. Amadou Kane, Moussa Mbaye, and Modou Fall, as they are known, have not been granted entry visas to the United States, one of the host countries, along with Mexico and Canada. "They have been declared ineligible for various reasons," reports L'Observateur, which broke the story in its Wednesday edition.
The trio sit on the FSF Executive Committee (Comex). Amadou Kane is the fourth vice-president, Moussa Mbaye is a member of the finance committee, and Modou Fall manages AS Pikine. Their applications, along with those of other Comex members and guests, were submitted to the American embassy for the necessary documentation.
"The situation could become even more complicated for other officials whose cases are currently under investigation or pending," L'Observateur reports. The paper is quick to add that "the governing body of Senegalese football does not intend to sit idly by. It is already exploring alternative solutions to allow all its members to obtain the coveted license."
