NBA : WEMBANYAMA ÉCLATANT, CURRY IMPITOYABLE : UN FINAL À COUPER LE SOUFFLE !
Despite a masterful performance from Victor Wembanyama, the San Antonio Spurs fell again to the Golden State Warriors (108-109), overwhelmed by an absolutely stratospheric Stephen Curry in the "money time".
Victor Wembanyama had set the court on fire. Delivering a complete performance ($26 points, $12 rebounds, $4 assists, $3 blocks), the Frenchman put on a real show, stringing together brilliant plays and heated exchanges with Draymond Green. "Wemby" at the peak of his powers.
But even this show couldn't withstand the force of nature named Stephen Curry . After already scoring $46 against the Spurs on Thursday, "Chef Curry" did it again with a cosmic stat line: $49 points (on $16/26 shooting, including $9/17 from three-point range).
The Warriors' guard literally buried Texas's hopes in a nail-biting finish, handing Golden State their second consecutive victory. While San Antonio might rue a few missed opportunities (especially by De'Aaron Fox), it's tough to survive when the greatest shooter of all time enters such a realm. Jimmy Butler ($21 points) wasn't enough to turn the tide.
