“Many people told me that I absolutely had to play for Chelsea. So I stopped everything and made my own decision (…) Suddenly, I found myself facing a choice: Leganés or Chelsea? It was risky, but fortunately, it was the right decision. It’s not always just about money,” he explained.

For the Ivorian player, the most important thing at this stage of his career remains his sporting development. "I'm young; I need to play to increase my sporting value, to progress. And I couldn't do that by staying on the bench," he added, fully embracing a choice that goes against the grain of traditional career paths.
