Abengourou : Fin de cavale pour les voleurs de bétail
The Abengourou Research and Intervention Brigade (BRI) put an end to the activities of a trio specializing in cattle theft on Saturday, March 7, 2026. Three individuals, including a repeat offender shepherd, were arrested for stealing 38 head of cattle belonging to a local farmer, Mr. Brou.
It all started near Arrah, where the flock was being kept. The main suspect, BA , a trusted shepherd but already known to the police for similar offenses, disappeared on February 21st.
The investigation, conducted swiftly by the BRI (Research and Intervention Brigade), located the fugitive in N'Drikro, where he had just landed a new job. Cornered, he finally confessed to having orchestrated the robbery with the help of two accomplices, DI and DA.
The trio acted methodically so as not to arouse suspicion:
Ironically, some animals were even allegedly diverted by his accomplices without the shepherd's own knowledge.
Charged with robbery in a group and breach of trust , the three criminals were brought before the Public Prosecutor at the Court of First Instance of Abengourou to answer for their actions.
