The Ivorian Pharmaceutical Regulatory Authority ( AIRP ) has ordered the immediate withdrawal of certain batches of infant formula from the French brand Babybio . This precautionary measure follows an alert from the International Food Safety Network ( INFOSAN ) concerning a potential risk to infant health.

🔍 Which products are affected?

The alert is targeted. It concerns only Babybio Optima 1 powdered milk (800g tins). Three specific batches are affected by this recall:

Note: All other products and batches in the Babybio range not mentioning these numbers remain safe for consumption.

⚠️ Safety instructions for parents

If you own a box belonging to one of these lots, the AIRP recommends the following actions:

1. Stop using milk for your child immediately .
2. Return the product (even if opened) to your usual pharmacy or point of sale.
3. Monitor your child: If unusual symptoms occur (vomiting, diarrhea), consult a doctor without delay.

A situation under control

AIRP seeks to reassure the public regarding the responsiveness of health services. Upon receipt of the international notification, rigorous inspections were carried out in pharmacies and at wholesale distributors.

To date, over 98% of the implicated stock has already been secured and removed from the Ivorian market. This massive recall operation significantly reduces the risk of exposure for babies.
