Angré Gestoci : un cambriolage nocturne élucidé, trois suspects interpellés par la BRI
A burglary that occurred on the night of Saturday, March 7, 2026, in a store in the Angré Gestoci district of Abidjan, led to the arrest of three suspects by the Research and Intervention Brigade (BRI-Nord).
According to reports, the incident occurred around 3:30 a.m. Taking advantage of the quiet of the night, several individuals allegedly forced open the metal shutter of a shop before entering and stealing various items. Early the next morning, the shop owner, identified only by the initials FF, discovered the damage and alerted the police.
Having taken up the case, the Research and Intervention Brigade quickly opened an investigation. The very next day, an informant reported the presence of a suspect in the Yopougon Port-Bouët 2 area. The police went there and proceeded to arrest a first individual identified as DA, who admitted his participation in the burglary and named two alleged accomplices: KA, alias "Scarabe", and SJM, nicknamed "Meko".
The investigation continued, and on Tuesday, March 10, at approximately 8:30 p.m., investigators located SJM in Abobo PK18, at the Diallo intersection, where he was arrested. During questioning, he stated that he was supposed to meet another accomplice in Koumassi. An operation was then organized in the area, leading to the arrest of KA, alias "Scarabe."
The three suspects were brought before the prosecutor to answer for the burglary charges. The investigation is ongoing to identify any accomplices or receivers of stolen goods connected to this case.
