Dabou : incendie au tribunal, le minutier détruit
Dabou, November 5, 2025 – The Court of First Instance of Dabou was struck by a fire during the night of Tuesday, November 4 to Wednesday, November 5, which resulted in the total destruction of the minutes room and caused significant material damage.
According to initial reports, the fire broke out near a utility pole located close to the premises housing the judicial archives. Several offices and computer equipment were damaged. No injuries were reported.
Firefighters quickly responded to bring the blaze under control. An investigation has been launched to determine the exact cause of the fire and assess responsibility.
A judicial official stated:
"The loss of the court records is a major blow to the functioning of the court. We are doing everything we can to rebuild the archives and maintain our services."
This tragedy highlights the fragility of the facilities and the need to secure official documents , underscoring the importance of preventative measures to avoid further disasters in public institutions.
