Drame à Manabri : Un motocycliste perd la vie dans une collision avec un poids lourd
The village of Manabri , located about twenty kilometers from Kani, was the scene of a tragic accident on Sunday, April 12, 2025. Around 7 p.m., an overtaking maneuver cost the life of a road user.
The victim, identified as Sidibé Moussa , was riding a motorcycle when he attempted to overtake a vehicle within the village. During this maneuver, the motorcyclist collided with a semi-trailer truck heading towards Abidjan.
According to the testimony of the truck driver, Soré Abdoulaye, the impact was sudden:
"I was driving at a constant speed when the motorcycle suddenly appeared in my path."
The impact was extremely violent. Unable to avoid the vehicle, the truck driver could not prevent the victim from being thrown under the trailer's wheels. Sidibé Moussa died instantly .
Following the standard procedure, an official investigation has been opened by the relevant authorities. It will have to precisely establish responsibility and determine whether additional factors (speed, visibility, or road conditions) contributed to this fatal outcome.
