Port-Bouët : Un incendie ravage plusieurs habitations à Adjoufou
A major disaster struck the Adjoufou district in the municipality of Port-Bouët on Thursday, March 19, 2026. Violent flames reduced several houses to ashes, plunging many families into despair.
Emergency Response: From the outset of the blaze, local residents attempted to fight the fire with whatever means they had available, before calling for emergency services due to the rapid spread of the fire. Firefighters, assisted by the gendarmerie and local residents, eventually brought the blaze under control and secured the perimeter.
Heavy material damage. Fortunately, there were no casualties: no lives were lost. However, the material damage is considerable. Dozens of families are now homeless, their houses having been completely destroyed by the flames.
