Un homme d’une cinquantaine d’années, ouvrier agricole, a été arrêté, lundi 26 mai 2025 à Arikokaha, chef-lieu de sous-préfecture situé au nord du département de Niakara, suite à un soupçon de viol de sa petite-fille de six ans alors qu’il était accusé d’une relation incestueuse présumée avec sa propre fille, aujourd’hui âgée d’une vingtaine d’années.
Selon les témoignages recueillis par l’AIP, la mère de la fillette aurait abandonné le foyer familial peu après la naissance de l’enfant, fuyant probablement la honte d’une union interdite. Restée sous la garde du présumé père, l’enfant aurait été victime de graves abus sexuels.
La brigade de gendarmerie nationale de Niakara, saisie, a diligenté une enquête est en cours après l’arrestation du chef de famille sur qui pèsent de lourdes accusations.
Des organisations de la société civile à Niakara, notamment le centre féminin pour la démocratie et les droits humains en Côte d’Ivoire (CEFCI), une ONG de promotion et de défense des droits de la femme et de la petite fille, ont salué la prise de conscience collective ayant conduit à la dénonciation puis à l’arrestation du présumé auteur de cette double agression sexuelle, qualifiée comme étant « un crime d’une extrême gravité ».
« Ce présumé double crime, au-delà de son caractère odieux, soulève une problématique profondément enracinée dans les non-dits sociaux : l’inceste. Ce tabou est souvent relégué au rang de rumeurs ou étouffé par la peur des représailles et le poids de la honte familiale.
Pourtant, chaque silence est une complicité et chaque oubli, un abandon », a déclaré avec indignation une représentante de l’ONG CEFCI à Niakara.
Ces faits ont provoqué un véritable électrochoc à Arikokaha et à Niakara où de nombreuses organisations féminines réclament une application stricte de la loi.
