Axe Katiola–Niakara : un camion-citerne prend feu, quatre personnes grièvement brûlées
Un grave accident s’est produit dans la nuit du dimanche 11 au lundi 12 janvier 2026 sur l’axe Katiola–Niakara. Un camion-citerne en direction du nord a pris feu, faisant quatre blessés graves.
Le drame est survenu vers 2 heures du matin sur la Nationale A3, entre les villages de Tiengala et Darakokaha, dans la sous-préfecture de Fronan. Le véhicule a terminé sa course dans un violent incendie. Les flammes ont entièrement ravagé la cabine du camion, causant de graves brûlures aux occupants.
Alertés, les agents du Centre de protection civile (CPC) de Katiola sont rapidement intervenus sous la direction de Diabaté Zié. Leur action rapide a permis de maîtriser le feu et surtout de sauver la citerne, évitant ainsi une explosion aux conséquences dramatiques.
Les quatre victimes, toutes grièvement brûlées, ont été évacuées en urgence au Centre hospitalier régional (CHR) de Katiola pour recevoir des soins.
Une enquête a été ouverte par les autorités afin de déterminer les causes exactes de cet accident sur cet axe très fréquenté du centre-nord de la Côte d’Ivoire.
