État d'alerte au Maroc : La CNOPS ciblée par une cyberattaque d'envergure

On April 10, 2026, the Jabaroot hacker group claimed responsibility for a massive intrusion into the systems of the National Social Security Fund (CNOPS) . This latest data leak, disseminated via Telegram, reportedly affected several million members. Although authorities are urging caution, this incident is part of a growing series of breaches that are eroding the myth of Morocco's security invulnerability.

A digital vulnerability that has become systemic

Since April 2025, the pillars of the Moroccan administration have been falling one by one in the face of Jabaroot's offensives:

  1. Institutions affected: Justice, Land Registry, Social Security, and even the Royal Football Federation.
  2. The hackers' message: On the occasion of its first anniversary on April 8, the group — which claims to be of Algerian origin — denounced "inefficient investments" and "falsified security reports", urging citizens to abandon the state's digital services.

The security apparatus laid bare

More than the theft of administrative data, it is the exposure of the private lives of high-ranking officials that weakens the state. In August 2025, Jabaroot published the bank details and identities of DGST executives, including Abdellah Rezrazi (counter-espionage) and Habboub Cherkaoui (counter-terrorism).

The Mohammed Raji case

The figure of Mohammed Raji , a key figure in intelligence nicknamed "Mr. Wiretapping," is at the heart of the scandal. The leaked documents reveal:

  1. Hidden assets: Properties in Beni Mellal estimated at 2.9 million euros , contrasting with an official salary of 2,378 euros.
  2. The Shadow of Pegasus: Raji is identified as the architect of the use of Israeli spyware in Morocco, involved in the surveillance of international leaders (Macron, Sánchez).

This crisis of confidence is aggravated by the defection of Mehdi Hijaouy , former number two of the DGED, currently on the run abroad, whose family is suffering financial reprisals in Morocco.

A royal transition under high tension

These cyberattacks are occurring within a context of great political fragility:

  1. The King's health: Mohammed VI, weakened by illness, has made few public appearances. Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan (22 years old) is gaining influence, now occupying his own office in the royal palace.
  2. Clan warfare: Diplomatic sources report growing tensions between the DGST (Hammouchi) and the DGED (Mansouri) for control of the transition.

The awakening of "Gen Z 212"

The discontent is no longer just digital; it has spilled into the streets. In the fall of 2025, the tragic deaths of eight women at the Agadir hospital catalyzed the birth of the Gen Z 212 movement.

The outcome of the protest:
  1. Mobilization: More than 200,000 coordinated supporters on Discord.
  2. Repression: 3 deaths, 1,500 prosecutions and sentences of up to 15 years in prison.
  3. Royal response: An emergency plan of 13 billion euros injected into health and education to calm things down before the legislative elections of September 2026.

Conclusion: The Twilight of Secrecy

Jabaroot's resurgence in 2026 confirms that Morocco is facing a "perfect storm." Between political hacktivism and internal power struggles, the future King Moulay Hassan is preparing to inherit a country where state secrets seem to have dissolved in the constant flow of social media.

Morocco in 2026 is now a state in the open.
