Ghana : Décès d'un jeune gardien sénégalais, victime d'une escroquerie de football au Maroc
Young Senegalese goalkeeper Cheikh Touré was found dead in Ghana after falling into a trap set by a fraud ring. The network had made him false promises about football trials in Morocco, thus luring him into a "financial extortion network."
The Senegalese Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed the sad news in a statement dated Saturday, October 18, stating that the tragedy had occurred the day before. Initial investigations reveal that the victim, aged only 17, was the target of this operation.
Ghanaian authorities immediately launched a thorough investigation to clarify the exact circumstances of this tragedy. The Senegalese diplomatic mission, for its part, stated that it was fully mobilized to closely monitor developments in the case.
