Perspective économique : le taux de croissance projeté à 6,7% en 2026
Côte d'Ivoire's growth rate is projected at 6.7% in 2026, government spokesman Amadou Coulibaly revealed at the end of the Council of Ministers on October 1, 2025 in Abidjan.
For Amadou Coulibaly, this performance confirms the resilience of the national economy, despite a difficult international environment due to the persistence of geopolitical crises and the resurgence of trade tensions between major powers.
In this perspective, he affirmed, the budgetary policy, in 2026, will be oriented towards increasing the mobilization of domestic resources, controlling operating costs and consolidating investment expenditure.
This budgetary policy also provides, to a large extent, for strengthening social spending, particularly that aimed at reducing poverty and social inequalities, as well as that in favour of environmental protection and adaptation to climate change, with a view to promoting strong, sustainable and inclusive economic growth.
According to the government spokesperson, the draft budget for the year 2026 is structured into 29 allocations and 158 programs, including 39 Special Treasury Accounts, implemented within the Institutions and Ministries. It is globally balanced in resources and expenses at 17,350.2 billion FCFA, compared to 15,339.2 billion FCFA in 2025, an increase of 13.1%, compared to the current budget.
