The 3rd National Employment and Recruitment Fair (FNER) kicked off this Monday, May 18, 2026, at the Palais de la Culture in Treichville. Chaired by Touré Mamadou, Minister of Youth Promotion, Professional Integration, and Civic Service, this edition opens with a focus on concrete action , boasting a record 86,178 opportunities .

Under the theme "Youth, skills and jobs: together let's build the future of Ivory Coast" , the event has now established itself as the essential bridge between youth and the business world.

The catalogue of opportunities in figures

The minister detailed the distribution of these 86,178 job offers, designed to meet the needs of all profiles:

  1. 50,000 company immersion internships.
  2. 11,800 qualifying training courses aimed at integration.
  3. 8,200 opportunities in High Intensity Labor Works (HIMO).
  4. 6,767 direct jobs.
  5. 6,750 project funding (thanks to a budget of 4 billion FCFA allocated to entrepreneurs).
  6. 2,661 pre-employment internships.
"This fair is not just another fair. It is a concrete response to a major concern: bringing young people closer to opportunities, the skills of companies and individual ambitions closer to the real needs of our economy," stressed Touré Mamadou, recalling the success of the first two editions of 2025 which had already enabled the integration of 59,282 young people.

A strengthened partnership with the private sector

To ensure the success of this integration, the State is relying on synergy with businesses. New agreements have been signed in key sectors (banking, logistics, automotive maintenance, industry), guaranteeing the training or integration of more than 2,150 young people over three years .

In return, the minister highlighted the attractive measures implemented by the government to encourage employers, including tax credits for job creation and hosting interns. Furthermore, since January 1, 2026, the internship allowance has been increased from 45,000 to 75,000 FCFA .

Focus on the regions: a local policy

Following the Abidjan phase (May 18-21), the FNER will begin its decentralization. In an effort to localize employment policies, the second phase will take place from June 1-21, 2026, in the Yamoussoukro Autonomous District and several other regions of the country.

The minister's message to the candidates

In conclusion, Touré Mamadou shared a powerful message to encourage job seekers to make a difference on the ground:

"Don't just come looking for a job. Come looking for a career path. Don't just come with a resume. Come with an attitude, ambition, and a willingness to learn."
