Danané : deux morts et une vingtaine de blessés dans un grave accident de « Massa »
A tragic traffic accident occurred on the morning of Thursday, November 27, 2025, in Kanta, a town located approximately 15 kilometers from Danané on the Danané-Zouan-Hounien road. The accident involved a public transport vehicle known as a "Massa" and resulted in two deaths and about twenty injuries , according to an initial report from the emergency services.
Alerted shortly after the accident, firefighters from the Danané Civil Protection Center immediately went to the scene. Upon arrival, several passengers had been violently thrown from the vehicle and were lying on the road. Rescuers treated 20 victims , including two with critical injuries , some suffering from serious limb fractures.
The injured were rushed to Danané General Hospital for treatment. The two deceased, whose deaths were confirmed by the medical examiner dispatched to the scene, were taken to the funeral home for removal.
The exact circumstances leading to this accident remain unknown at this time. An investigation has been launched to determine the causes of the tragedy and any potential liability.
