The Ivorian Prime Minister, Dr. Beugré Mambé, officially launched the Labor Market Information System (SIMT) this Tuesday, June 23, 2026, in Abidjan. This major new technological tool aims to address the mismatch between training programs and the actual needs of businesses in Côte d'Ivoire.

Moving from a reactive to an anticipatory approach

For the Head of Government, the SIMT represents a strategic turning point in employment governance. The objective is to proactively guide public policies rather than reacting to economic changes.

"The SIMT will give us the ability to identify professions, detect emerging sectors, anticipate future needs and measure more accurately the impact of public policies implemented," stressed Prime Minister Dr. Beugré Mambé.

The main features of SIMT

Designed as a centralized digital platform, the system is structured around three pillars:

  1. The collection and analysis of real-time data on employment and skills.
  2. The strategic direction of vocational and technical training.
  3. Support for the professional integration of young people.

A lever for economic modernization

Thanks to this system, Côte d'Ivoire is optimizing its human resource planning in the face of ongoing technological and economic transformations. The SIMT will also serve as a collaborative platform between three key stakeholders:

  1. Public decision-makers
  2. Educational and training establishments
  3. The private sector

By joining this modern and connected network, Côte d'Ivoire joins the select group of African nations with a cutting-edge mechanism for monitoring the labor market. The authorities intend to make this platform a central pillar for stimulating the creation of sustainable jobs and guaranteeing the professional future of Ivorian youth.
