On the occasion of the official launch of the festivities marking the 55th anniversary of the National Lottery of Côte d'Ivoire (LONACI), the Minister of State Portfolio and Public Enterprises, Mariatou Koné , paid a vibrant tribute to the institution this Thursday, April 30, 2026. Gathered at the Palais des Congrès of the Sofitel Abidjan Hôtel Ivoire, the authorities praised an exemplary trajectory in the service of national development.

Rapid financial growth

The minister highlighted LONACI's spectacular rise, citing it as a benchmark in public management. The figures demonstrate an unprecedented change in scale:

1. Revenue: Increased from 50 billion FCFA in 2015 to over 665 billion FCFA in 2025.
2. Benefits for the State: In 2025, 22 billion FCFA were paid in royalties and 7 billion in dividends.
3. Winnings for bettors: 402 billion FCFA were redistributed to players in the last financial year.

A pillar of social action

Beyond its commercial mission, LONACI has established itself as a major player in national solidarity. Driven by President Alassane Ouattara's vision, the company has invested heavily in the well-being of the population:

“More than 20 billion FCFA has been allocated since 2023 to the construction of schools, health centers and water infrastructure throughout the country.”

Certified and recognized governance

Mariatou Koné made a point of congratulating the general management, led by Dramane Coulibaly and his deputy Abdoulkarim Ouattara , for their rigorous management. This excellence is recognized by international standards, including:

1. Renewal of ISO 9001:2015 certification.
2. Obtaining level 3 of the "Responsible Gaming" certification from the World Lottery Association (WLA).

Two months of celebrations

Stating that LONACI possesses "a solid past, a remarkable present, and a promising future," the minister officially opened the festivities. These celebrations will take place over two months throughout Abidjan and cities across the country, marking more than half a century of contribution to Côte d'Ivoire's influence.
