Adjamé–Williamsville : deux fumoirs détruits, huit suspects interpellés lors d'une vaste opération de police
Police forces are continuing their crackdown on drug dens in the Abidjan district. On Sunday morning, officers from the 11th police precinct in Adjamé–Williamsville conducted a targeted operation in several areas known to be sensitive, resulting in the destruction of two drug dens and the arrest of eight people.
The operation, conducted from 08:30 to 11:00, took place under the Agban bridge, on the edge of the Banco forest, as well as at the Ferraille Bridge, areas identified for suspected activities related to the consumption and trafficking of narcotics.
During the searches and checks, police dismantled two smoking dens, one of which had recently been rebuilt. The facilities were completely destroyed to prevent any rapid resumption of illicit activities.
The operation also resulted in the arrest of eight individuals without any identification. The suspects were taken to the Abidjan Police Headquarters for standard checks and further legal proceedings.
Law enforcement also seized several items at the various locations, including pipes, syringes, lighters, scissors, 68 SIM cards, and a car key. These items will be used in the investigation being conducted by the relevant authorities.
This operation is part of the security efforts undertaken by the police authorities to combat drug trafficking networks and drug consumption sites in the Abidjan district.
If you wish, I can also rewrite it in a style even closer to agency dispatches (AIP/APA) or with a more "crime news" oriented angle .
