This Saturday, March 7, 2026, the Lycée Moderne de Cocody was abuzz with the internal promotion competitions. 331 candidates are competing for strategic positions within the Ivorian education system, notably for the roles of Deputy Head of School (ACE) and Deputy Director of CAFOP (ADC-CAFOP) .

A rigorous selection process for key positions

Under the supervision of Kadidiata Diarra Badji , Director of Examinations and Competitions (DECO), the distribution of candidates is as follows:

1. ACE: 318 candidates for 250 available positions.
2. ADC-CAFOP: 13 candidates for 10 open positions.

In parallel, candidates are also taking exams to obtain the Certificates of Pedagogical Aptitude ( CAP ) and Elementary ( CEAP ).

The challenges: Performance and Governance

The applicants are primarily experienced high school and teacher training college (CAFOP) teachers. Their future mission? To assist school principals with daily administrative and educational management.

“Our ambition is to make Ivorian schools schools schools of success. With quality men and women, the education system can only be high-performing,” stressed Ogou Marie Reine , Inspector General, representing the supervising minister.

2. Next step: Candidates eligible for the ACE position will have to undergo an oral interview to validate their final suitability.
