Sécurité alimentaire en Côte d'Ivoire : La FAO, le PAM et le FIDA dévoilent leur feuille de route 2026
The United Nations system agencies, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations ( FAO ), the International Fund for Agricultural Development ( IFAD ) and the World Food Programme ( WFP ), reaffirmed their commitment to Côte d'Ivoire during the 45th World Food Day (WFD), celebrated on Wednesday, November 26, 2025.
During this event, the FAO representative, Nyemah Joseph, presented the synergy of action of the three institutions for a sustainable transformation of the country's food systems.
The three agencies are pooling their resources around several priority areas:
Mr. Joseph thus reaffirmed the commitment of the UN system to inclusive and sustainable development alongside the Ivorian population.
Building on this momentum, the FAO representative announced the development of a major investment plan. This plan will culminate in the organization of a National Forum on Agricultural Investment during the first quarter of 2026.
Representing the government, Adama Kamara, Minister of Employment and Social Protection, expressed Côte d'Ivoire's deep gratitude for the continued support of its partners. He emphasized that this international solidarity is essential to maintaining the country at a satisfactory level of food security .
The JMA, held this year under the theme " Hand in hand for better food and a better future ", highlighted the challenges facing the sector, the progress made and the need to strengthen partnerships for concrete actions.
