Station d'Épuration de Boues de Vidange à Bingerville : Les Travaux Vont Reprendre Prochainement

The crucial Bingerville Sewage Sludge Treatment Plant (STBV) project is about to be relaunched.

The Minister of Water Resources, Sanitation and Public Health, Bouaké Fofana , held a key meeting on Friday, November 21, 2025 with the chieftaincy of Abatta and the developer of the site concerned.

The main objective of this meeting was to raise awareness among all stakeholders and ensure unanimous support for the project.

A Project Essential for Hygiene and the Environment

STBV is considered an essential element for the sustainable and safe management of sanitary waste in the region.

  1. Role of the Station: It will treat and eliminate the sludge collected from the septic tanks and chemical toilets of Bingerville.
  2. Impact: This treatment will significantly contribute to improving the overall health and safety of the locality.

Removal of Obstacles

This working session follows an initial meeting held on November 13th with the local chiefs. The objective of these discussions was to definitively remove the obstacles that had thus far hindered the implementation of this vital sanitation project.

Minister Bouaké Fofana was accompanied by several important figures in the sector:

  1. Djramado Yao , Director General of Water and Sanitation
  2. Bamba Aboubakar , Deputy Director General of the National Sanitation and Drainage Office (ONAD)
  3. Issouf Doumbia , Mayor of Bingerville
