The draw for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers, held on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, has been completed. Ivory Coast's Elephants have been drawn into Group C , a challenging group that promises some exciting matches.

Clash of the Titans and the Traps of Group C

Ivory Coast will face their historic rival, Ghana , once again. The clashes between the Elephants and the Black Stars are shaping up to be the unmissable highlights of this group.

However, caution will be necessary:

Gambia , a nation on the rise in African football, will take on the role of perfect outsider capable of upsetting the favorites.
Somalia , meanwhile, completes this group and will try to play its luck bravely.

Instructions for using qualifications

These qualifiers bring together 48 nations divided into 12 groups of 4 teams . The teams will compete in a round-robin format, playing each other home and away. The top teams will qualify for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations finals.
