The Cameroonian industrial landscape is about to undergo a major transformation. Since February 5, Magzi (Mission for the Development and Management of Industrial Zones), ECA (United Nations Economic Commission for Africa) and CVUC (United Communes and Cities of Cameroon) have begun consultations to deploy "tailor-made" industrial zones in five key regions: Centre, Littoral, East, South and West .
This project marks a turning point in the SND30 (National Development Strategy), aiming to make municipalities engines of growth rather than mere reception areas. The initiative rests on four pillars:
According to Augustin Tamba, president of the CVUC, 2026 symbolizes the transition to operationalization. Magzi has ambitious plans, aiming for the overall development of over 6,700 hectares across the entire territory.
“2026 marks the transition from the planning phase to concrete operationalization on the ground.” — Augustin Tamba, National President of the CVUC.
Several large-scale projects are already underway, driven by international partnerships, notably with the Emirati group SGC Investment (total investment of 433 billion FCFA ):
| Location | Area | Focus / Project |
| Bertoua (East) | 904 ha | Industrial park dedicated to wood (430 billion FCFA) |
| Yaoundé (Centre) | 316 ha | Nsam-Mvan area |
| Nomayos (Central) | 2 ha | Logistics base (3 billion FCFA) |
| Meyomessala (South) | 100 ha | Renovation in progress |
