Cocody : Des coupures d'électricité suite à un incendie au poste de la Djibi

The Ivorian Electricity Company (CIE) informs residents of the Cocody district that the power supply is currently disrupted. A fire that broke out on the night of Sunday, March 22, 2026, on the high-voltage network at the Djibi substation, is the cause of this incident.

Areas primarily affected:

Angré and Djibi
Djrogobité
Riviera
Municipality of Bingerville (peripheral sectors)

Although the fire was brought under control by firefighters around 6:00 AM, the restoration of service is proceeding in stages. The CIE (electricity company) announced a gradual resumption of power supply starting at 7:54 AM and assures that its technical teams are working towards a full return to normal.
