Soutien aux victimes des crises : 213 enfants reçoivent des prises en charge scolaires à Abidjan
The Ivorian government continues its commitment to supporting populations made vulnerable by past crises. On Thursday, April 9, 2026, in Abidjan, the Ministry of National Cohesion, Solidarity and the Fight Against Poverty officially presented full funding for the 2025-2026 school and academic year to 213 children from families of victims.
This initiative, carried out in collaboration with the Support Programme for Strengthening Inclusion and Social Cohesion ( PARICS ), is part of the overall framework of the Victim Compensation Programme.
The event was not limited to financial aid. The government was keen to recognize merit and emphasize the social emergency:
For the recipients, this support is much more than a simple grant. Yakoui Leslie , a Master's student in Law, expressed the students' gratitude, emphasizing that this aid embodies a "strong political will to redress injustices" and build a more united nation. She encouraged her peers to transform this opportunity into social success.
Since the launch of this comprehensive care scheme, the figures demonstrate a sustained effort by the State:
2,185 children (orphans, children of injured or direct victims) have benefited from this program between 2017 and today.
